This is underrated as a vetting step. Genuinely.

I ask about their dispute process specifically. Where does it go if the agent cannot resolve it. The honest ones admit the chain is short because they are offshore. The ones that pretend there is some big formal escalation are either clueless or lying, and both are bad. Limited recourse is the reality, I respect a site that does not dress it up.
